APC Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje Vows to Dominate South-West Region Starting with Ondo Election

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed confidence that the ruling party will establish dominance in the South-West region, beginning with the upcoming November 16 off-cycle governorship election in Ondo State.

Ganduje made this declaration during a stakeholders' meeting held in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, where he was joined by prominent party figures, including Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos and Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, as well as Ogun State's Secretary to the State Government, Talabi Olatokunbo.

During the meeting, Ganduje emphasized the APC's commitment to expanding its influence in the region, particularly in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He highlighted the party's focus on Oyo and Osun states as key targets to bolster support for President Bola Tinubu.

"In this geopolitical zone, we must deliver 100 percent in favour of APC. Therefore, Ondo State, you must be at the forefront; the two other states - Oyo and Osun - we will capture them, but I will not reveal our secret. We are strategizing. Everything must be 100 percent behind President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu," Ganduje stated
