Ayomide Adeleye, a 23-year-old philosophy student at Olabisi Onabanjo University, has confessed to murdering 18-year-old Christiana Idowu, a fellow church member, due to his financial troubles.
He lured her to his home under the guise of repairing her phone, then strangled her and attempted to extort ransom from her mother. Currently in police custody, Adeleye expressed profound remorse for his actions, stating that he feels deserving of death but hopes for a second chance at life.
